One of the characteristics of mammals is that they maintain a constant body temperature. Birds do this too. Both birds and mammals are described as being warm-blooded. Do all mammals and birds maintain the SAME warm body temperature? For example:

Is the normal body temperature of a human
(a) the same as
(b) warmer than, or
(c) colder than that of a domestic cat or a house sparrow?

Answer: (c)
The normal body temperature of a human person is COLDER than that of the domestic cat and the house sparrow.

The normal body temperature of a cat is about 101.5 degrees Fahrenheit (38.5 degrees celsius).
The normal body temperature of a sparrow is 105.8 degrees Fahrenheit (41 degrees Celsius).
