THE BODY: A MACHINE OF MANY SYSTEMS!
The best machinery in the world that can do almost everything
you need is covered by soft skin and hair. Your body is a super machine that
pumps, filters, breaths, and regulates temperature... all automatically.
Amazing in its operation, the human body handles many tasks
with interconnected systems including the circulatory system, the nervous
system, the digestive system and the vitally important immune system.
If you go to Explorit during the final days of the current
exhibition, you can witness the digestive process in progress by performing an
experiment mixing saliva and flour. Take a reading of your pulse at the
circulatory section to see how it varies when your body is at rest or is doing
hard work. Blow up real lungs and discover how resilient they are. Make
colorful neurons or become a scientist by looking into a variety of slides
showing cells and vivid samples of the human body.
There is a lot to learn at Explorit's current exhibition
"Insides Out: How Your Body Works." Find out how long your intestines really
are: You will find they go on for yards! Which one is longer, the large
intestine or the small intestine?
Kids of all ages can learn about the body and how it all fits
together. Something as simple as putting together puzzles of human organs can
go along way towards understanding one’s body. Don't forget to play the
germ game to cure what ails and try your hand at conquering viruses by finding
the right key that cures them.
The human body and its systems will amaze you. Find out how
each system works together to keep a person alive. Discover the amazing world
of the human mind and taste receptors. There may be things that you have
always wanted to know about how your body works and they can be found when you
go to Explorit before this exhibition ends April 6.
Do you know how fast the circulatory system and digestive
system work? Try this weird test. Eat a clove of garlic and in 15 minutes check
the smell of your feet. They will smell just like a clove of garlic. The
garlic that you have eaten has traveled all the way through your system and can
be noticed in your feet! It may be a smelly test but you will see that it
works!
