Author: Karen Adams ![]() More than 500 people helped Explorit Science Center celebrate the grand opening of its new building last weekend. In unison, they counted down to a ribbon-cutting with the words of Explorit’s motto: “Think it, try it, Explorit.” Afterward, visitors toured the center and engaged in many special science-related activities. Regular public hours for the museum, located at 2801 Second St., are 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and 2-4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. For more information: (530) 756-0191 or
