Explorit is pleased to announce its official participation in the Informal Science Educators Network (ISEN) and its receipt of funds to enable on-line communication with 500 educators at science centers, museums, zoos, aquariums, parks and botanical gardens who work with teachers and school systems.

ISEN is sponsored by the Annenberg/Corporation for Public Broadcasting-Elementary and High School Project for Mathematics and Science, the Science Education Academy of the Bay Area, of which Explorit is a member, the Exploratorium, and the Department of Energy.

By participating in networks such as ISEN, Explorit is able to share its experience and expertise in informal science education, in particular the hands-on learning programs that have been developed since Explorit's founding in 1982. It also enables Explorit to continue its professional growth among the vast community of science educators throughout the country.
