In honor of National Chemistry Week, Nov. 3-9, Explorit Science Center and the Sacramento Section of the American Chemical Society present Fun With Chemistry. On Thursday, November 7, come to Explorit for exciting experiments, dynamic demonstrations, and cool chemicals.
From 3:00-4:00, two students from the UC Davis Chemistry Department will present demonstrations and interactive activities for children and adults. From 4:00-5:00, they will repeat this presentation in Spanish and English.
During last year's Chemistry Day, participants explored the wonders of ooblek, were dazzled by the effects of liquid nitrogen, and played the role of atoms as they bonded with linked arms. Just imagine the astounding feats of science that you can investigate during this explosive display of chemistry. Join us for a day of ABC's: Amazing Bilingual Chemistry Demonstrations at Explorit!
Explorit Science Center is located at 3141 Fifth Street in East Davis. Public hours are Saturday from 11am to 4:30pm, Sundays from 1:00 to 4:30pm, and Tuesdays through Fridays from 2:00 to 4:30pm. Admission is $3; members, teachers, and children under 4 are free. For more information, call Explorit at 756-0191.
