In the spirit of Halloween, we've set up a fictional mystery involving a UFO which "crashed" at Exporit.  The viewing of the "crash site" will begin every 15 minutes.  During the introduction, the mystery will be revealed.  Each visitor is challenged to solve four mystery questions through scientific experimentation which is mostly conducted indoors.  For this purpose, there have been 13 laboratories set up inside where visitors will have an opportunity to use chemistry, black light, microscopes, chromatography, fingerprints, dissection, handwriting analysis, DNA profiles, to figure out the answers to four questions.  While younger children might not fully understand the relationship between the labs and the mystery, it might still be fun for them to participate in the labs.  Lots of help is available in the labs and from staff circulating in the room.  Visitors correctly completing all four questions can claim a prize at the registration table.

In addition to the UFO mystery, there is also a craft room where visitors can make aliens, UFOs, slime, invisible ink, and rockets using recycled materials, masking tape, scissors, markers, crayons, paper plates, aluminum foil, pompoms, pipe cleaners, plastic drink lids, glue, borax, glow-in-the-dark paint, zipper lock bags, construction paper, cotton swabs, diluted lemon juice, and paper.

Additionally, the Davis Astronomy Club will have telescopes set up for night sky viewing, actors will be available to interact with visitors, and we will have selfie stations.

All Activities are included in the admission fee.
