--- Expansion Plans ---
  • When cramped facilities began to hinder our ability to provide services demanded by the public and schools of the region we determined that we needed to expand.

  • We're now in the middle of our Expanding the Explorit Experience Capital Campaign to fund this expansion project. So far, generous donors have enabled us to raise two-thirds of our $2.4 million goal. That's great progress but we must complete our campaign quickly to fully fund the next phases of our expansion into this beautiful new site. [Explorit Expansion]
How can you help Explorit achieve its goal of $2.4 million?

Can you help fund the creation of the new major exhibition "Move It! Science in Action"?
• there is a donation link on the page describing the exhibition that is scheduled to open on March 7, 2008.
Naming Gift Levels:

A $1 Million gift will name the building.
$25,000 – $999,999 gifts   will name some remaining spaces in the building

Other Generous Gifts

$100 – $24,999   essential gifts will accumulate to form the bedrock basis for completing the campaign and outfitting of the building and programs.
All $1,000+   donors will be recognized with special hand plaques that will be put on display starting in mid-2007.



--- Our Progress ---
  • On October 14, 2006 we had the Grand Opening of our 2nd Street facility allowing expansion of our services to the region.
  • In March 2007 our "Exhibit Wet Lab" opened as a new public space just off the Jonsson Gallery downstairs. We have exciting plans for even more hands-on exhibits, galleries and program spaces to occupy over 3,000 sq. ft. upstairs. These will open to the public in early in 2008. 2nd Street Facility
  • Also in March 2007, after some re-modelling, some new and some old programs are again be held at the Mace Park facility.
