Mace Branch What's Happening at our Mace Park Branch
at 3141 5th Street

Explorit's Mace Park Branch, in a park setting located less than one mile from our main site on 2nd Street, is our administrative center. It continues to be used year-round for a variety of Explorit programs and events.
Nature Labs and Safaris
Nature-related field trips. In these indoor and outdoor programs, students investigate adaptations of plants and animals, observe local wildlife. Available September-May and require advance reservation.
Summer Vacation Classes
Offered during 10 weeks each summer. Topics emphasize age-appropriate experiments, problem solving, and crafts. Sign-up information is released in mid-March each year.

Family Explorations and Festivals
These take place at one or both branches of Explorit. include a variety of hands-on activities and demonstrations, visiting scientists, and allow large numbers of children and adults to participate.

The Davis Astronomy Club at Explorit
Dynamic programs presented by the astronomy club. Meetings involve a presentation and a discussion, followed by sky exploration with telescopes, weather permitting. Appropriate for children and adults.

Hub for Explorit's Mobile Outreach Programs
The Mace Park Branch is an active hub for Explorit's extensive outreach programs that travel to schools and community centers in the greater Sacramento region. Our vans travel daily with a variety of classroom, assembly, after-school, and family science night programs. All outreach programs require advance reservation.
