"Paleoclimate perspectives on global climate change: A view from the bottom of the sea"
One of the most pressing concerns for life on Earth today is climate change, and what will happen in the future as we see global temperatures rising. Dr. Fehrenbacher studies past and present climate change and is interested in understanding how the Earth’s climate and ocean’s may change in the future due to both natural climate variability and human activity.
➣ Wednesday, September 7, 2016: Explorit presents Award Winning Author Thor Hanson speaking about his book "Feathers" The Evolution of a Natural Miracle.
Hanson's talk will fascinate anyone interested in birds, feathers or conservation biology. Hanson works as a biologist in the Pacific Northwest. He concludes his book with the observation that: "The exploration of natural miracles is a fundamentally open-ended and curiosity driven enterprise. It reminds us that science is not always about the answers; it's about the questions."
