Special to the Enterprise

Explorit Science Center and the American Association of University Women (AAUW) are once again bringing together students and women in STEM careers for a relaxed evening of discussion, snacks and career exploration. Join us at Da Vinci Charter Academy (1400 E. 8th St. in Davis) on the evening of January 29 at 6:15 pm in the MPR.

Meet and mingle with women working in the fields of engineering, global health, veterinary medicine, and forensic science. Ask your questions and get to know the personal stories of doctors, scientists and engineers.

The evening will include a panel discussion, small group Q&A’s, cookies and cocoa, and mingling to end the night. Students and their families are welcome.

There is a program for students to interact directly with highly successful women in STEM fields and a parent program to learn about AAUW's Tech Trek Summer Program, opportunities at Explorit Science Center, and the Da Vinci Program.

This event is sponsored by the AAUW and Explorit Science Center and Da Vinci Charter Academy. The event is aimed at upper-elementary and middle school students, but some high school students may find relevance as well.
