Art After Dark is the Stuff of Legend

Join Explorit at The Pence Gallery for Art After Dark, a blend of interactive art, science, live music, food and drink, and more on Friday, May 5 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Every first Friday of the month,The Pence Gallery hosts anArt After Dark event blending science with interactive performance and visual art for an unforgettable evening!

 

This month's theme is Mythology. Explore the animal imagery of the ancient world through Pre-Columbian art and Greek vases, plus meet a few "mythical" creatures, complements of Explorit Science Center!

 

You'll delve into the world of ceramics and sculpture, get your hands into some traditional folk art, and make friends with the creatures that have inspired some of the greatest mythological characters. Catch a live performance by Abalone Grey in Pence’s outdoor space starting at 8:30 p.m.

 

The bar will be open all night long with signature cocktails and some truly low-priced beers. Everyone is welcome and tickets are at the door or online at www.pencegallery.org. Tickets are $10 general/$8 students/$5 Pence members. Don’t miss this epic mythological experience!
