Special to the Enterprise

As autumn cools into winter, Explorit is heating things up with some festive science fun for the whole family. Join us on Wednesday, December 26 or Friday, December 28 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. to explore the science of winter with the whole family.

Investigate the physical properties of ice and snowflakes. Discover the many ways Davis’s flora and fauna change and adapt to a colder, wetter season, and see how they compare to other species around the world.

From the wonders of nature to chemistry and physics, winter has plenty to teach us about science. We’ll have tons of frosty fun for the whole family, including some crafts to take home.

These special events are $5 for members, $8 for non-members. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
