Have you made your summer plans yet? Don’t forget to schedule in some science!

Adding some science to your summer is easy with Explorit’s memorable and popular Summer Science Camps, now available at two locations. Explorit will be hosting summer camps at our museum in Mace Ranch Park in Davis and at Spring Lake Elementary School in Woodland.

With options for ages ranging from 4-16, there’s bound to be a camp for the budding scientist in your household. But don’t delay, camps are filling quickly. Registration is open now at www.explorit.org.

Be sure to check out a new evening camp for teens all about astronomy the week of July 8-12. Join Vinita Domier of the Davis Astronomy Club at Explorit to learn all about The Stars and Our Night Sky, including telescope viewings. This camp meets 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6:00-10:00 p.m. on Friday.

Plus, there are a variety of camps for younger campers on topics ranging from environmental stewardship to engineering. Tackle some real-world challenges with science and have a blast doing it.

Camps will be available at Spring Lake Elementary (2209 Miekle Ave. in Woodland) from June 17 to July 19, and at Explorit (3141 5th St. in Davis) from July 22 to August 16. Each half-day camp runs from 8:45 a.m. to noon, and costs $100 for Explorit members, $125 for non-members.

A full schedule and all the details is available at www.explorit.org. Registration opens online on March 12. Camp sizes are limited, so register early for the best selection. We hope to see you this summer!
