Explorit Offers New Outreach Science Programs for Schools and Community Groups

Special to the Enterprise

The first of September brings with it the start of school, the advent of hopefully cooler weather and a new year of stellar hands-on science programming from Explorit Science Center. We’re adding to our program line-up this fall with new science experiences for classes and families. We will also be opening a new exhibit on Feathers in our museum gallery.

For school classes, we’re offering a new Classroom Adventure program on Ecosystems and Biomes. Discover many ways living things are interconnected while exploring the adaptations of plants and animals that suit them well for survival in one climate, but not in another.

Classroom Adventures visit individual classes at their school site. An Explorit educator brings four stations of hands-on science fun and guides students as they rotate through each station.

Each Classroom Adventure is 60 minutes long and accommodates up to 40 students at a time. One Explorit educator can serve up to four classes in a day. Ecosystems and Biomes is just one of six topics offered this year; all topics address Next Generation Science Standards.

You can read about all of Explorit’s program offerings this year online at When you’re ready to book for your school or community group, just give us a call at 530-756-0191 or fill out the online request form at

We look forward to a wonderful year of science with you.
