Dear Parents, Students, and Friends of Explorit:

Explorit is ready to start our next installment of the SCIENCE ACTION CLUB with citizen science projects on "BUGS!" We are recruiting 6th-8th grade students who love science to come join us as we do citizen science bug activities through iNaturalist and the California Academy of Sciences. The SCIENCE ACTION CLUB's "BUGS!" installment is sponsored by the California Academy of Sciences and Genentech. The details are:

Workshop Dates & Times:

Sunday, May 15 (9 am-1 pm)

Sunday, May 22 (9 am-1 pm)

Saturday, May 28 (9 am-1 pm)

*Students must be able to attend all of the free workshops as part of the recruitment. However, exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.

The deadline for registration is May 13th. Please complete the attached registration form and return to Alfreda Wei (alfredaw@explorit.org) ASAP if you are interested. If your student participated in the previous "CLOUDS" installment of the SCIENCE ACTION CLUB and would like to continue with the "BUGS" installment, submission of the form is unnecessary. However, please do email me to let me know of their interest to continue so that their name can be added to the enrollment list. For more information, please contact me by phone at (530) 756-0191 or email at alfredaw@explorit.org.

Thank you for your interest in Explorit!

Sincerely,
       Alfreda W.
