California Duck Days returns to the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area Headquarters on Saturday, February 23, and Explorit will be on-hand to share in the hands-on science fun!

 

Now in its 25th year, California Duck Days is Northern California’s wetlands and wildlife festival. Duck Days takes place in the heart of the Pacific Flyway and features a wide variety offield trips, workshops andactivities for people of all ages.

 

California Duck Days is a family oriented, community-based outdoor festival with activities for people of all ages.Field trips are led by some of the region’s most experienced birders and naturalists. On-site activities for families include interactive exhibits, wetland themed arts and crafts, trout fishing and much more.

 

Explorit will join countless other local organizations in providing hands-on science experiences in the Exhibit Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All Exhibit Hall activities and workshops are included in the admission price of $20 per vehicle.

●      Visit Explorit’s latest exhibition, Earth Explorations. Explorit’sExploration Gallery is open to the public every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 1:00-5:00 p.m.  Admission is $5.00 per person; Explorit members, teachers and children 2 and under are free.

●       Explorit’s Nature Bowl Team is seeking new recruits for the 2019 competition. Third through sixth graders are welcome to join us for the first meeting on Thursday, October 4 at 3:45 p.m. at Explorit. To register, call 530-756-0191.

Explorit is looking for volunteers to accompany our educators into classrooms during the day and assist with presenting hands-on science to school children.
