Give the Gift of Science This Season

Sassenrath scholarships help make Summer Science Camp and other Explorit programming accessible to all.

Special to the Enterprise

As we enter the final weeks of the year, gift-giving is on the minds of many. Gifts for family, gifts for loved ones and gifts that serve the whole community are top priority.

As you wrap up your gift-giving this holiday season, consider Explorit and giving the gift of science. Explorit Science Center can help you give the gift of science to your family, your friends or even a whole school!

For friends and family, you can gift an Explorit membership and your recipient will also gain free access to hundreds of science museums across the nation. For more information or to purchase or renew your membership online visit www.explorit.org/join/membership-levels or call Explorit at 530-756-0191. For a list of participating museums across the nation visit http://www.astc.org/passport/.

To help give science experiences to low-income students, consider a gift to our Sassenrath fund. Furthering the tradition of making Explorit as accessible as possible, the Sassenrath Scholarship Fund was created in October 1998 when Ethel retired as a longtime member of our Board of Trustees.

This fund allows Explorit to provide programs to low-income schools and individuals for free or at a reduced rate. Applications are encouraged and are subject to careful review to ensure that the benefit serves the most needy.

Thinking a little bigger? Consider a donation to Explorit. Now more than ever, we need science education.

Your donations help Explorit serve our community with exhibits, activities and educational outreach programs in 15 surrounding counties. Sponsor a program or summer camp scholarships by making a gift at explorit.org/support, or call us for more details.
