More Fall Camps!

By Sara Thompson

Special to the Enterprise

Explorit will be extending Fall Camps for another three weeks!  The camps are open for studens in grades K-6 ($120 Members/$145 Non-Members per weeklong session).  The after-school camps will run from Monday-Friday from 3:00-5:00pm to accommodate the upcoming time change.

Be a mad scientist the week of October 26-30 and join the Crazy Chemistry camp.  Explore the states of matter.  Perform simple chemical reactions to find how common substances change.  Make fun slimes, blow up balloons without breath, and experiment with a color changing potion.

Sharpen your engineering skills by learning about everyday simple machines and how they are used.  Build arches, bridges, and buildings to see how the engineering is different between them.  Everyday Engineering camp will be the week of November 2-6.

Calling all rock enthusiasts!  Discover different types of minerals that make up the rocks around the world.  Learn about the three major types of rocks, how they form, and how they can change.  Join Rocks Rock! the week of November 9-13.  There will not be camp on Wednesday, November 11, and camp price is reduced to $95 Members/ $115 Non-Members.

Campers must wear closed toes shoes, face masks, and bring their own water bottle.  Temperatures will be taken of every staff member, volunteer, and camper each day of camp.  Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or greater will be sent home.  For more information and to register please visit
