Duck Days, that annual celebration of waterfowl and their environs, is almost upon us, and once again Explorit Science Center will be on hand to share in the science fun. Join us at the Yolo Basin Foundation on Saturday, February 24 for some science fun in the exhibition hall, as well as all the Duck Days festivities.

Duck Days is an outdoor community festival celebrating wetlands and wildlife hosted by the Yolo Basin Foundation at the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area Headquarters (45211 Co Rd 32B, Davis). The day-long event includes on-site activities and workshops such as meeting baby ducklings or exploring wildlife photography, as well as off-site field trips such as hikes and birding expeditions.

Try your hand at trout fishing or discover the nocturnal world of bats. Discover the owls along your daily walk or take a canoe trip on Lake Solano. There’s a field trip adventure for every interest!

Saturday’s activities begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area Headquarters and continue throughout the day. A full schedule is available atwww.yolobasin.org.

Tickets for Duck Days are $20/car and are available atwww.yolobasin.org. At the time of registration, you may also purchase tickets for off-site field trips for an additional charge.

Don’t miss this chance to learn more about some of favorite feathered friends and the wetlands they call home!
