Special to the Enterprise

Explorit Science Center has been providing traveling programs to schools and community groups in 17 Northern and Central California counties for years, but now Explorit’s Summer Science Camps are also hitting the road to bring exciting, hands-on science to campers in Woodland as well as at our Davis location this summer.

Spring Lake Elementary (at 2209 Miekle Ave. in Woodland) will be hosting a second round of Explorit’s science camps this summer. Now you can share in the science at two locations!

Explorit offers camps for students ages 5-12 this summer on topics including animals, science challenges and the environment.

Join us for Challenge Busters where you will use physics, chemistry, engineering and boundless imagination to solve puzzles, build structures and rise to a whole variety of challenges. Or Take a Walk on the Wild Side with our animal camp, exploring the connections between humans and local wildlife.

Learn how to be a Planet Protector as we explore what it takes to keep an ecosystem healthy for everyone. Each camp runs Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

New this year, Explorit will be offering camps at two locations: our museum on 5th Street in Mace Ranch Park in Davis, and at Spring Lake Elementary School in Woodland. Twice the science at two locations!

Camps run from June 25 through August 10; see a full schedule, register and see all the details As always, Explorit members at the Family, Grandparent and Circle levels receive a discount on camp fees, so consider joining Explorit today to save $25 on each camp.

Also, limited scholarships are available. Download an application for fee assistance from our website.

Registration is open now. Call Explorit at 530-756-0191 to register or register online at See you this summer in Davis and in Woodland!
