Family Explorations

About twice a month, Explorit offers Family Exploration programs at our main site, 2801 Second St. in Davis. These drop-in events on Saturday afternoons are designed to bring all ages together in special exploration of a science topic.

Sometimes we invite community scientists to lead the programs, sharing their expertise and materials/equipment with our visitors. An example is the photo at left; a representative of the Center for Biophotonics is demonstrating equipment that is used in medical diagnosis.

Explorit's Family Explorations are free with paid admission to the museum. Expect a lively time, whether dissecting an owl pellet, making "flubber" or controlling a robot.
