Saturday, April 9 “Cold blooded and so cool!” 10 am – 12 noon

Come have a hands-on experience with Explorit’s reptiles and insects and meet Bliz, Tiger, Spike, Connie, with some mystery guest appearances too!  

Explorit’s reptile wranglers will introduce you to our well-traveled animals and answer your questions 

  

Friday, April 15  “Shockingly good fun and nothing taxing!” 3 - 8 pm

"It's hair-raising!  Come explore static electricity while Explorit puts a little spark in your Friday!  Try our van de Graaff generators…. and discover who Van de Graaff was….and what did he “generate”? 

  

Friday, April 22 “Earth Day- Your Day to Help”!   3 – 8 pm

Come join us in cleaning up Mace Ranch Park and the surrounding neighborhood and discover new ways of recycling, repurposing, and conserving our resources.   Contribute your thoughts to our “Earth Day Dreams” mural.

 

Saturday, May 7  “Lumbering Lumbricus- Hey, Worms Got Culture!”  10 am – 12 noon

Meet Explorit’s animals and hear about our new worm cultures and the benefits of composting.  Have a look at these gentle and essential parts of our soil ecosystems- nothing fishy here!

  

Saturday, May 14 “Feathers in Flight” 10 am – 12 noon

Celebrate International Migratory Bird Day! There is a talk with a local migration scientist and an afternoon of fun migration-themed activities, challenges, and crafts. Explorit introduces the “Feathers in your World” Community Science Project. This event is partially funded by the Frank H. and Eva B. Buck Foundation and by Genentech.

 

Friday, May 20 Feathers: “Night before de Cluck” 3 – 8 pm

As part of Explorit’s “Feathers in Your World” Community Science Project, we’ll feature hands-on feather activities and experiments.  Visiting guests will explain tomorrow’s “Tour de Cluck”.  Learn about the Davis Farm to School Program and the Farm to Fork healthy life choices. Meet some chickens and learn how to get started with “clucks” in your own backyard! This event is partially funded by the Frank H. and Eva B. Buck Foundation and by Genentech.
