Questions:
i) Which of these images, if any, is a photograph of something that occurs in nature?
ii) What observation helped you to decide. Did you identify any of the images?

Answers:

i) Images b. and c. are images from nature.

ii) b. Is reptile skin and c. is the calcareous skeleton of a marine creature, a sea fan.

Images a. and d. are both metal-mesh netting . The significant thing about these two is the regularity of their pattern.

Did you think that a. might be natural homeycomb? Although the photo is not very detailed you might have noticed that the design is rather too regular.
Below are two more images, both are natural honeycomb.
Image f. is the negative of image e.
You will notice the irregularities which suggest a nature-made item.
