Is your child ready for some small group, in-person science adventures? Explorit’s after-school camps have been a lot of fun for our campers, volunteers, and staff members. With the success and popularity of our after-school camps, Explorit has opened additional sessions in April and May for students in grades K-6. The new sessions will run from 3:30-5:30pm Monday through Friday. Cost for each weeklong session is $120 for Members/$145 for Non-Members.

April 19-23 is Need for Seeds. Observe the many types of plants, animals, and insects that live right here in Mace Ranch Park. Learn how to sprout a seed and how to keep it healthy, and the importance of pollinators.

April 26-30 is Crazy Chemistry, for all those mad scientists! Explore the states of matter and perform simple chemical reactions to determine how common substances change.

May 10-14 is All About You. Learn about several systems of the human body, how they work, and how to keep them healthy. Experiments include examining x-rays, assembling a skeleton, and assisting with the dissection of sheep organs!

May 17-21 is Earth Explorations. What forces help shape our earth? Watch how water and weather changes the landscape, build a structure that can survive our earthquake shake table, and study rocks, minerals, and fossils to uncover the past.

May 24-28 is our popular Everyday Engineering. Learn about everyday simple machines and how they are used. Build arches, bridges, and buildings to see how the engineering is different between them. Assemble simple circuits and make an electromagnet.

Our current sessions filled up fast so register soon! Additional information and registration can be found at https://www.explorit.org/camps.
