As our doors remain closed due to COVID-19, Explorit needs your help now more than ever. There are a number of ways you can continue to support your small, local science center. Continue to support Explorit during this uncertain time by becoming a member. Membership grants you free visits to Explorit’s regular public hours when we reopen, discounts on events, camps, and workshops, and gives you ASTC benefits to visit other museums throughout the world. Explorit is offering afternoon Fall Camps to help enrich you student’s science learning while schools are in a digital learning format. The camps will be two hours a day and run for a full week. Time blocks are 12:30-2:30pm for students in grades K-2, and 3:30-5:30pm for students in grades 3-6 and a Friday evening astronomy series for grades 6-10. Volunteering is also a way you can help Explorit out. Assisting with camps takes pressure off of our educators with set up and cleaning. Helping with regular upkeep of our outdoor spaces or animal care will free up more time to develop programs and make it so our staff does not need to work six or more days a week.
