Special to the Enterprise
This Asian Pacific Islander Month, we are learning about the man who created many technological advancements for the world to use! Ajay Bhatt was an employee of the company Intel in their Client Consulting Group.
In 1992, with his team, he began to fabricate what we know today as the USB: Universal Serial Bus. Oftentimes, Bhatt felt frustrated when having to print his children’s homework and the scattering of how to print documents from different devices. With the USB, people can connect this product into other devices, in order to transfer materials and make printing accessible! Although Intel was hesitant about the USB, Bhatt became very well-known at Intel and universally for his product creation because of the product’s efficiency.
Ajay Bhatt is also known for technological advancements for specific computer parts such as microchips. Help us celebrate STEM achievements and Asian Pacific Islander Month.
